Good = morning everyone. Welcome to our wors= hip service. We are especially delighted to have those who are guests or visitors worshipping with us. I would remind you of our Green Pr= ayers and Concerns response card. If you have a concern to share, please have it ready to hand to an usher who will be collecting it during the last verse of our first Hymn of Praise. It = is always a wonderful time when we gather together at the Mars United Presbyte= rian Church. =

&n= bsp; Leader: <= /span>By a strong hand, we are summoned from our unfaithfulness to face our sins bef= ore God. The One who listens and rescues gives us a solemn charge: “Do not try to hide from me an iniquity I already know. Face up to your sin and let go of it.” Let us confess our= sins.

People: Gracious God, tender and s= trong as a mother, warm and embracing as a father, you have given us great gifts: an inquisitive mind, a thirst for justice, a generous hand, a compassionate heart. Yet, in our families we sometimes = fail to cherish the gifts of each and to encourage the growth of all. Forgive us for limiting choices, h= iding emotion, hurrying the slow one, holding back the eager one. Restore a holy balance and an hone= st appreciation to our life together. Speak to us as on this special day of honoring Fathers as we quietly pray. . .

Studies show that if the mother of a family atte= nds worship, there’s a 16 percent chance that the rest of the family will also attend. <= u>VACATION= BIBLE SCHOOL. <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 23-27, 2008. Check out the website to download your registration forms. Then bring them to church, or mail= them in. (Cost is only $5 per child.) Music CD’s are = available for $6 to get an advance listen to the songs. Soccer balls to send to South America can be sponsored for only $12. Just place your donation in the of= fering basket. Look for “Fizz&= #8221; to see how you can help make this year’s program a success. Take a sticker and donate just wha= t we need. Dinners are needed nightly for the volunteers.
