URBAN IMPACT CONCERT - “Arts Night!”
GATEWAY CLIPPER – April 28th
Calling all middle & high school youth! Meet at the church on April 28th at 4pm for the GATEWAY CLIPPER EVENT sponsored by the Beaver-Butler Presbytery. What is it? What do you do on the Gateway Clipper? Talk to one of our many youth who went the past couple of years and find out! It’s a lot of fun! RSVP (with a payment of $20) to the church office by April 21st. The Gateway Clipper Event runs from 5:30pm-8pm. Adult volunteers willing to serve as chaperones are needed!
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE MEAL – May 5th and May 9th
High School age youth will be preparing and serving food at the Ronald McDonald House in Pittsburgh on May 5th and May 19th. High School-ers need to be at the church by 9:45am on those dates. Youth will pack up gathered grocery supplies and travel to the Ronald McDonald House, prepare the meal and serve the food. Plans are under way for a “fellowship” activity following serving the meal – stay tuned for more details!
END-OF-YEAR PARTY – May 28th from 5pm – 7pm
To celebrate the end of another great youth program year, there will be an “END OF YEAR CELEBRATION for all middle and high school age youth on May 28th from 5pm – 7pm. Up and coming 6th graders will also be invited to join the celebration and be introduced to the MUP Youth Program. Location and other details will soon be announced.
CREATION MUSIC FESTIVAL – June 26th – June 29th
Creation is an incredible Christian music festival held every summer in beautiful Mt. Union, PA. A lot of nationally recognized Christian bands perform concerts on multiple stages – from rock to rap to heavy metal and alternative…and? This year the dates of the festival are Wednesday, June 26 - Saturday, June 29th. As in years past, we will be staying at the campground on site called Agape Farm. If sign up, send in your registration form. If you have questions, talk with group leader Keith Nichols.
NEW YORK MISSION TRIP – Aug 4th – 10th
Youth entering 9th grade and having recently graduated high school are encouraged to sign up for this summer’s mission trip to provide relief to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. In collaboration with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), our mission team will stay at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township in Chatham, New Jersey ). A coordinator from PDA will lead us to work sites and work alongside us for the duration of the week. A Mission Trip Packet is available on our church’s webpage along the bottom of the page as a “quick link”. There will be a meeting on April 28th at 10am in the Social Hall of the Church for all those interested in going on the Mission Trip – more details coming soon! Adult chaperones are needed!
